Mediterranean & Black Sea Network
The Network - Sustainability, environmental diplomacy and inclusive development across the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions
The Mediterranean and Black Sea Network (MBSN) is a non-profit Organization based in Athens, Greece, dedicated to promoting sustainability, environmental diplomacy, and inclusive development across the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions. The Organization coordinates international, cross-sectoral cooperation in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the European Green Deal, and the circular and blue economy principles.
Circle the MED Forum — our flagship initiative
With its flagship initiative, the Circle the MED Forum, MBSN provides a leading platform for institutional dialogue among policymakers, international organizations, academia, civil society, and industrial stakeholders. Its work contributes to advancing green and digital transitions, maritime cooperation, biodiversity protection, sustainable tourism, renewable energy, and climate resilience.
Circle the MED Forum aims to bring together policymakers, high level political and business leaders, experts and key stakeholders from the 4 helixes (public sector, research and academia, business sector, civil society and especially the youth) to engage in an interactive dialogue on the urgent need to accelerate the green transition towards climate neutrality and resilience in the Mediterranean. With more than 5,000 registrants from 56 countries, having involved more than 500 speakers since 2018, Circle the MED provides a unique opportunity to share experiences and best practices and new governance models while exploring innovative ways to work together towards a more inclusive, sustainable and circular future for the broader Mediterranean, as well as the Black Sea region.
Circle the MED Forum is the flagship capitalisation and policy-dialogue platform of the Mediterranean & Black Sea Network, designed to connect EU-funded projects, policymakers, businesses, local authorities, experts and civil society around sustainable development, circular economy, climate neutrality and Mediterranean cooperation.
